About

Macrobetix is a Morecambe based independent artist whose work spans both electronic music and photography.

On the music side, the project centres around self-produced, electronic compositions blending guitar, MIDI instrumentation and vocals.

Visually, macrobetix presents a photographic portfolio grounded in social realism, capturing ordinary moments with a balance of grit, charm, and subtle humour. The work ranges from documentary style local storytelling to candid street observation emerging as a cohesive portfolio exploring the nuance, characters and emotional undercurrent of everyday experiences through a distinct, quietly expressive lens.

Born 1981 Lancaster, currently lives in Morecambe. he graduated with a 2/1 BA(Hons) in Photography from the University Of Central England 2006. His work was recognized by Rhubarb-Rhubarb and the Creative Alliance where it was then exhibited across the West-Midlands.

Going on to photograph some of Birmingham’s most prolific music artists such as Soweto Kinch and becoming Eatgood Records Creative Director Of Photography. Since then he has worked for a range of clients and artists bringing his own individual flare to each project.
